About The Wine Competition
Our Story
Founded in 2024, the Gold Coast Wine Competition made its debut at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, placing a spotlight on Ventura County and Central Coast wineries in collaboration with the Ventura County Fair.
We celebrate the best in winemaking from vineyards across Ventura County and the broader Central Coast AVA—recognizing craftsmanship in every varietal.

Prestigious Judging: Wines judged by expert panels including sommeliers, winemakers, and wine media professionals.
Recognition: Award categories include Best of Show, Gold, Silver, and Bronze
Exposure: Medal-winning wines showcased to visitors at the Ventura County Fair, gaining visibility with over 300,000 attendees.
